December 2008 Newsletter


Hi guys,just a quick update.
We are still very active on the fishing charter front,after working with the Canadian army guys on a well earned break from Afghanistan for most of august and September ,What a time we all had !the guys enjoyed a few beers ,good fishing we all came off the boat each night with a few storys of the days adventures,pleasure to have had you aboard guys.The tuna were obliging with a lot of good tuna 25 miles offshore.

We also had the pleasure of fishing with an old mate from the uk charter boat skipper terry batt and his partner Nicola one of the few female skippers in the uk,who out fished terry on both days out with us.

From the good press we had on some of the fish landed this year we have been included in the membership of the international game fishing assoation a feather in our cap as we are one of few boats in the eastern Mediterranean included in there membership.we are looking forward to the 2009 tuna seasons we are currently planning to get a few specialist charters together to have crack at bringing a light line record for tuna so if you fancy getting your name in the record books give us a call.the international game fishing federation have said that they will issue a certificate to the angler that lands any specimen fish on evening star during the pursuit of this record.
Buts that’s 2009 here we are in the first days of December 24 degrees of pure sunshine and chasing our winter species ,the bonito was slow to start but we are in full swing now with plenty of fish most days with a few dorados and barracudas to make the bags.Spurdogs and shark from the deeper water marks.we are looking forward to operating a tag and release scheme in 2009 for the sharks.
